Is there anyway of doing something like dblues glitch plugin but with my own effects? I want to be able to trigger any vst effect on the spot the same way you can program drums on a drum machine type interface. For instance, I load up any variety of plugins into some interface or link them to some other plugin that sends the data, and with that interface, i simply click on the spots where i want this or that effect turn on or off. Also, like glitch, I want to be able to switch between different patterns. I dont want to have to turn the effect on and off thru manual automation, this is a pain in the ass.

Making Waves studio, a simple but suprisingly handy simple little sequencer has this function. Has a sequencer timeline to turn effects on and off and at different volumes throughout the track.

I can think of a few not so elegant ways of doing it in FL using a layer and a few fruity keyboard controller instances. Just in my head, I'd have to acutally build it up first if you wanted detailed instructions (and to see if it even works the way Im thinking.)

It is possible in FL via different and creative ways such using Fruity Keyboard controller (In step Sequencer), Fruity Peak Controller (in Mixer), Fruity Formula Controller (in mixer) and recently in Fruity Enevelope Controller (Which is fantastic feature) and via combining them. it needs some work and learning process about these contrllers and how they works but after some hours you'll find extreme ways to mangling your rhythms with your effects in whatever patterns you want.
