I have a Pc and a G5 Mac, Can the new version of FL Studio 6 slave to the Mac Running Logic so Logic can "fire" a PC running FL Studio 6?
I thought i read somewhere that FL6 now has improved Midi Clock and Sync etc?

it can? Are you sure it can slave to another app (without using rewire) or an outside clock? I know it has remote capabilities and FL6 included being able control the transport remotely...but as far far as slaving and syncing to the other machine I'm pretty sure it's still not possible...G-Ro124 wrote:yes it can

Since that happens to be the case, I'm not so sure that the two programs will be able to work together.

no what he is asking can he run FL in the pc and logic on the mac and use the mac to slave the pc through a midi connection...doesn't matter much about cross platform when it comes to midi being transmitted between midi interfaces...midi is midi, but I don't think Fl has midi slave...Drhitman702 wrote:I thought that FL Studio was PC only?buckman wrote:I have a Pc and a G5 Mac, Can the new version of FL Studio 6 slave to the Mac Running Logic so Logic can "fire" a PC running FL Studio 6?

There was an MTC wrapper last July in the public betas on Looptalk. I never actually tried it but it's supposed to lock to either MTC or MIDI clock.

lock to or generate, they did add mtc to FL6 but there is no option to slave, still just master...bnmoore wrote:There was an MTC wrapper last July in the public betas on Looptalk. I never actually tried it but it's supposed to lock to either MTC or MIDI clock.

version 1.0
public beta 1
This is an application that slaves FL Studio to another application or device that sends MTC (midi time code) or MIDI clock.
To install
Unzip the attached file to a folder on your harddisk and run the included MTCWrapper.exe.
How to use
When you launch MTCWrapper, it will launch FL Studio. The only difference is that there's an FL icon in the task tray (near the clock). Clicking on that will allow you to see the options window for the MTC wrapper. Choose a MIDI port to receive MTC or MIDI clock messages and an ASIO port for the audio.
Notes
- it could be MIDI clock slaving doesn't work as expected. It might be removed in the final release
