New server coming soon as well. Stay tuned.

(And the new VST will be a lot smaller in file size too.)

I have one more suggestion. The cutoff should not go to 60000 Hz thats just redicuous. It makes me have to be careful how much I open up the filter. It should end at like 22000Hz. Although it does do some wierd digital stuff when using the HP filter that high with high resonance, but its just distortion. Maybe make it an option? Anyways, fcuking fancy gui! well done!

Ah, this is a type of suggestion I file under "Dr. it hurts when I do this." (For those who don't know, the punchline is "Well then don't do that." :P )

It internally processes up to that sample rate so the cutoff goes there as well, otherwise you couldn't set the cutoff to a point where the effect is transparent (cutoff set to max with zero resonance sounds just like the effect is bypassed... completely transparent. If you set it to 20kHz though then compare to bypassed, you'll hear some loss in high-end.) Note that the scale isn't linear so 20kHz appears at about the 75% position on the knob. But I don't feel it's my job to limit users to a "safe" parameter range, you're free to drive it as far as it naturally goes.

Anyway, most real-world low pass filters had cutoffs that went well beyond 20kHz too. Particularly in synthesizers. I used to use this feature intentionally to make beat frequency effects from a synth from two or more filters self oscillating in the ultrasonic. You can't hear the individual high pitches they create but you can hear the difference frequency (beat frequency) produced when they're combined (makes whistling sounds like tuning a radio -- this is also how a Theremin produces its pitches).

This extra range also allows for greater range of modulation. This filter design is destined for a soft-synth eventually, and I need to know it doesn't hit a brick wall at the 20kHz point. I've found this to be a problem with a lot of other digital filters/soft-synths I've tried and part of why so many don't sound authentic. Real synths didn't brick wall at 20 or 20,000 Hz.

You don't need to fear the high frequencies though, no need to be "careful", they're too high to actually make it out of your system (they're far above the sample rate of your host). This isn't quite true for the low end though -- this filter goes right down to 0 Hz! -- so do be careful down there, particularly when using lots of resonance.

While you may not be able to hear the cutoff at the extreme upper range, there are some useful artifacts you'll get from playing around up there, particularly when using resonance, (you seem to have discovered some of these). If I took that out now, those who are using it as a feature would complain. ;)

Try turning the resonance to zero and your HP filter should work as expected. It's only when there's lots of resonance that you'll hear strange stuff at the top end, in either Low or High pass modes. This is just from the circuit becoming saturated with frequencies you can't hear. Real LPFs do this too!

Note that the MIDI controllers let you specify a minimum and maximum range of motion for each knob (it actually defaults the .ini file so that the MIDI controller range tops out at the 50% position on the cutoff knob, this was to make it more like a wah-wah pedal range by default -- though each knob's MIDI CC low and high ranges can be set wherever you want, including inverted.)

Glad you like the fancy GUI! I can't understand people thinking 5 MB is too much to download (though I do know the current server is painfully slow and makes 5 MB feel like 500) but my next VST is going to be more like 1.8 MB even though it's actually bigger and has way more knobs -- go figure. ;)

Anyway, I don't mean to hijack this thread too much. I just wanted to add my filter to the pile of suggestions. We can discuss NaiveLPF more here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=119589 or wait a few days and I'll have a new release anouncement to discuss and a new server to download it from. :D
