Hi All,

I'm using a setup with the following configuration:

Controller: Novation X-Station (which is my soundcard too)
VST Host: V-Stack
VSTi: GTG MicroOrgan MKII, Mr Tramp and Mr Ray 73
VSTfx: MrDonald or MDA Leslie

The problem is that these VSTi's doesn't have any "MIDI Learn Function" or MIDI CC Routing for their parameters, so i just can't figure out how to assign my controller to them. I Didn't find any CC MIDI routing inside V-Stack.

I've used XLUTOP chainer for a short time and it have this funcionality, that i could assign every parameter (MIDI CC) for these VSTi's in the EDITOR 2 view, even if the plugin doesn't support midi learning or midi routing.

I've moved to V-Stack because i thought it would offer me more, but i really need to do that MIDI CC routing for playing live.

Please, if someone know how to do that, it would be really amazing.

Best for you,

Farakeys.

I have V-Stack. It came with my Steinberg VSL20/20 sound card. Un-installed it since because it has problems with some of my plugins that I refuse to un-install....I could re-install it though and take a look at it.

let me know if you still need help with it.

As you are no doubt aware not all vsts respond to cc. V-Stack will send out the sysex paramaters so that you can record the knob sweeps in your main DAW. IF you move the knobs in v-stack and set you DAW to record the sysex information as you move the knobs with the mouse, you can at least get the knobs playing back you mouse moves.

Yes, you are completely right. Not all VST's respond to CC. But if you use something like Xlutop Chainer as your VST host, you can map any CC to any parameter of any VST you use inside Chainer. I don't know how this is implemented, but i saw a similar feature in EnergyXT, that makes possible mapping even if the VSTi or VSTfx you are using don't support it.

This is what makes me think how amazing is chainer for playing live, and makes EnergyXT a possible choice for my next live setup. Or maybe i'll try using both of them together.

In fact, V-Stack seems to be an amazing tool, with amazing features... but is just not for me. I really miss the Mapping feature i found in Chainer and EnergyXT.

I think i'll do some research in EnergyXT, which looks pretty cool.

Thank you, for your replies, and keep in touch.

Best,

Farakeys.

Let me know how you make out with it. I am curious. Some sort of universal mapping (must be sysex to cc conversion) would be a welcome addition to V-Stack.
