Hi Guys,
I had bought and installed so many extra sounds for STank that I ended up having to look through (for instance) three different folders to check out all my bass sounds so I spent a long while re-ordering my sounds so that it made more sense for me. I'm now wondering if using the newly arrived 2.1 DVD's (thanks ESOUNDZ, you guys are fantastic!) will put at least the basic Sampletank XL sounds back as they were and give me back my old folders. My Sampletank sounds folder is up to 25GB now so I don't want to have to sort that lot again!
Anyone have any info they can offer?
Cheers
G
Will 2.1 DVD spoil my customized file structure?

I did this at the weekend, yes it created the old directory structure.
Of course the folders that I created with the old sounds were still there. So you don't lose anything.
I then spent about 5 minutes cutting and dropping the sounds into where I wanted them to be. (but then my system is fairly simple).
Not a big deal to be honest, plus it was interesting to see which sounds had been updated and which sounds had older timestamps, (which surprised me).
If you are worried, just install the sound DVDs into a different directory and then manually shift stuff across.

Sorry I didn't make a note. Just a mental record, that the list in each directory was basically growing.Beardedone wrote:Hey Rollasoc! Do you know what sounds are new?
I was in the mid of a panic known as creating and posting a shed load of new EPs (which uses T-racks, ST2 plus several expansion things, Amplitude, Miroslav and Sonic Synth 2). (I really should mail SR one...) that I didn't really have time to makes note on the changes.
Pani is mostly over now, so I'll endeavour to play with the sounds at the weekend.
