Btw Where is the "what's new"document for these sounds?

Post

Oh, and... have there been updated combis for 2.1 posted anywhere? I had all of those cool combis that I think came from esoundz originally?

Anyone?

Post

I'll have to check again to see if there was anything. I think one of the new things is that the sounds are organized slightly differently... the folders and such. And I thought I had read somewhere that things were tweaked a bit in places.

Post

Yeah I have to look but it seems there are not too many new ones. I understood that there were a bunch that were reprogrammed so that they were more opereable using Stretch. I have not used stretch much - no more than a few times - I did not find any ST2 sounds that are worked with it to mu ears- so it would be good to know which ones in the new set are good to go.

Post

No, there are a lot of new sounds. Over 2 gigs of sounds that weren't in the previous version 2.0 I don't have the list myself but I will have to see if there is a way to get one. I mean, I have only our internal docs which I can't post. But, there should be something that can be...or maybe already is somewhere.

Post

OK Good new Dave!I thought I missed something like I do sometimes.

Thanks,
Gordon

Squids, it is a total of 2 disks, correct? I guess I should be able to tell by checking the overall file size for the ST folder, but...

There was a recent big upgrade to one of the orchestral libraries where there were a lot of errors... some people not getting all of the disks or getting duplicates of one disk and missing another.

Would be helpful to always have something in the readme that spells out what you should have received.

The people that had missing disks had those disks sent to them or replaced right away by East West.
I had no problems with Gold Pro XP. And even a little later East West Sorted it all out so no one would end up with missing disks.
Good luck with the new sounds for ST2

OF COURSE things got sorted out and sorted out quite satisfactorily and quite quickly for the people who had problems with Gold Pro XP.

But that was not the point of my post... and because that was not the point of my post is why I did not mention any names. My question had nothing at all to do with Gold Pro XP or any other libraries. The point of my post was to underscore the reason for wanting to know what the total number of ST disks should be, which I'm assuming is two. Thanks.

If you go here and then click where it says
See the coplete list of sound included
SampleTank® 2 XL | SampleTank® 2 L
(The spelling mistake is IK's :))
you'll get a listing. Sorry, can't link direct...
ST2.1 stuff is listed but I guess it'll take some searching through to see what's changed - I started out on 2.1 so don't even know what was in 2.0

Post

Thanks Anzoid!
