I've only ever used my midi controller for recording midi note data. Sometimes i will use the sliders on my novation remote 61 for controlling cutoffs and other synth operations. However i am intrested to know if it will be possible to use the 'template' feature on the novation controller and how to open a synth (like v-station witin flstudio 6) and then quickly make changes using the automatically assigned CC's the template offers. Is this possible?
Is it possible infact to save "midi assignements" within flstudio itself to recall later for a specific plugin? This would be a useful feature to have. I have noticed that in the options dialog within flstudio their is a 'controller type' drop-down, but after looking through the config files i have since discovered these only give really give control for flstudio interface itself (transport and so fourth).
Any advice on this would be great as i am keen to use this controller to the full!

assign the knobs to banks in your controller and link them in FL, then just save the flp as a template...then close FL, open it again and select the template in the file menu...then it will default to that template....I use a pcr50 and it works for me...

Does anyone happen to know what the FL Studio transport CC numbers are?
Im also assuming you have to select a controller profile like pcr50/tascam or something for it to respond to the CC signals?

Played about for a few hours and eventually found them. So this is for anyone who wants the Remote 25 to control the FL Studio transport buttons
Set the controller type in FL to Tascam US-428.
Set all the following to Low Value: 127 / High Value: 0 and MIDI channel 16:
CC21 - Stop [momentary]
CC22 - Play
CC23 - Record
CC24 - Rewind [toggle]
CC25 - Forward [toggle]
