Spacehawk and Shortcircuit=HEAVEN

Oh, my, my, my...I just had a brush with Sublimity. For a year or two I've been screwing around with samplers but I never quite got it...until today. I plugged some of the Spacehawk soundfonts into Shortcircuit and fell through the rabbit-hole. I just wanted to sing the praises of these two products.

I have to say that the Spacehawk soundfonts are absolutely crafted with immaculate care and are immensely inspiring. There's a wide variety of stuff to go through and you can see that love and thought that went into making this happen.

And when combined with Shortcircuit...Whew - it was like infinity opened up. A world in a grain of sand...that sort of thing. Nothing short of completely revelatory. I guess that's it except to say that I urge you all to check out Spacehawk...I'm really impressed...AND I have no association whatsoever with the company. No shills here. Just a musician in love.

Really glad you found two products that you like, but can you tell us why the combination of SpaceHawk and Short Circuit are so special? I mean why not the TSW set by kpr and Short Circuit, or SpaceHawk and Halion or Kotakt?

sorry, Improv...fair enough...my post was more of a personal cry of triumph. I don't really have an answer other than this was really the first time -for me- that "sampling" with Shortcircuit came together as a "musical" act. I've been screwing around with it for a while but this was the first time that I fell through a musical worm-hole into a place of naked delight. It may not have anything to do "per se" with Spacehawk or with Shortcircuit, although I found the soundfonts that I've been working with to really lend themselves to the type of ambient/soundscape topographies that I really enjoy playing around in. And I found that Shortcircuit, suddenly, stands revealed as a very deep and intuitive musical instrument. The Spacehawk sounds seem VERY thought out and crafted with love. The same may probably be true of several other sets...just haven't hit me in the same way yet. Now that I've had my breakthrough with Shortcircuit, that time may be coming.

That's cool, you were 'in the zone' (as they say) and had to tell someone-it all clicked for you. My question wasn't meant as a put down, just some inquisitive curiosity on my part. Thought maybe I was missing out on something in the combination of the two products and that you could quantify what it was.

well I didnt use the spacehawk and shortcircuit duo yet.

but I can imagine, that it is really a great bundle.

for me a good sample library is the base for a good sampler (like Kontakt / Halion...)
to show its quality

Shortcircuit is a very impressive sound creation tool and underrated too.
