Hosts:
Audiomulch, Live 5, Audition (demo)
Sound card:
M audio Audiophile 2496
Now...what I would like to do is be able to stream audio from Mulch to Audition or Live for further sequencing. I have checked out Streamboy, but when I tried it I got some driver error in Mulch. I wanted to test it out again just in case I missed something but the trial has expired...
I've looked at Virtual Audio Cable, but am not sure if it works with ASIO or if it will even mess up the settings I have.
Instead of having to render wave files from Mulch it would be great to be able to stream them directly into the Audition multi tracker or as clips in Live 5.
Is there any reasonable and reliable way I can do such a thing?

I think it actually is what you are looking for: a virtual cable inbetween your applications. It shouldn't mess about with other settings.'ve looked at Virtual Audio Cable
At the moment it's not an ASIO driver, but through Asio4All it might be

i remember with wormhole, or MixBox (tobybear), i could do it if the 2 aplications support vst´s , it was like having rewire on a non-rewire aplication but that support vst´s ... everything worked ok, theres one more vst, but can´t remember the name .. but this 2 worked , they haved to be loaded in each aplication ( one the sender..other the receiver)...

Mixbox, senderella. Both can do it if the two programs in question have VST support.
The ASIO thing will be a stumbling block though, I haven't found a way to share the driver between programs yet. Asio4all might work, as C00kie suggested.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Ok, so I tested out Freewire between Mulch and Live and it works very well, but to be honest it's fiddly and I can do the same thing if I just render from Mulch to a wave file. All I'm doing is cutting out a step in the process.
I also tried Mixbox but it did not work at all. What would be really good is if I could stream from Mulch straight into Adobe Audition, but Audition doesn't use VST instruments so Freewire is out of the question. I had heard that Elevayta Streamboy has some extended functionality within audio editing programs like this but don't really know how it would work. Does anybody have experience with it?
