Not into drums much personally but I do have Abstrakt - is there any chance of you doing some more evolving pad/athmosphere type banks making use of the Scripting (like Kontakt Experience too)? There wasn't enough of those in Abstrakt tbh but the potential is there in K2.

Not sure what you mean there about scripting - we made half the Kontakt experience Library for NI ! Do you mean KARMA type evolution tools?
Do you mean Abstrakt Vol.1 didn't have enough pads,or enough scripts?
thanks for your feedback, by the way..

HI
I have both your sets ... very nice.
I would like to see a 'one-shot' soundset of all kinds of incidental, fx, noises ect - for battery/Kontakt.
Flipper.

... I must admit I'm a bit unsure about Konkrete - I really like the demos and I'm already a big fan of your work - but I'm still thinking if it would fit into my style (...but give me a bit time...
). What I really would like to see is a dedicated library of bass samples - especially for drum 'n' bass. I know that a lot of the sound design in this genre is done by resampling samples over and over again with different effects. The downside is often that only one sample is used for an instrument - I have the EZ-Rollers Sample-CD and it has a lot of nice samples, but it's a shame that they can only be played in a - at least for my taste - very limited key range. O.K. I know, that people might argue, that you won't need a huge keyrange for this genre but recently, I found myself ending up very often creating similar patches on my own with a wider key-range. So, to sum up, I really hope to see a collection of really nasty multi-sample basses as one of your next products...

This is an excellent effort and great product I reckon -- excellent price too
Should fill many needs admirably, especially for the neo-industrial and Dark Beat composers, as well as Dub/D&B & Hiphop.
I can envision buying it for this price, but I just want to add that there are still many VST instruments & libraries offering unique and usually unheard-before sounds (like Chineekong for instance) so I wonder about the implication on your site that *other* sounds are sort of played out/boring, with perhaps millions still yet to be explored:
"Bored of 808, 909, or acoustic drum samples, tired of the same old cowbell/woodblock style percussion..."
But I like the kits and the sound quality is fantastic!
Cheers,
Alex

Hi Guys,
Yes, all the audio files are included, in AIFF format.
MIDI files -yes, we can make the MIDI files available, we were thinking of this anyway. Also, we are working on a freebie REX pack of loops made using Konkrete. Should be out this week, hopefully.
Loachm - we have plans for a bass library within Abstrakt Vol2. We wouldn't in fact be re-sampling bass samples over and over again -we would use ( as you say) properly created multi-sampled waves ( from analogue and digital sources), designed for heavy voicing within Kontakt and some other of the more powerful samplers.
Xander - yes, i appreciate your point about other instruments offering great sounding new stuff -of course you're right. We were simply trying to make the point that Konkrete strives for exciting new percussion sounds. And to be honest, i have yet to hear another drum library that explores the areas that Konkrete does as thoroughly as it does, as we aimed it squarely at the IDM/ Warp / tech D'n'b/ glitch sound.
That doesn't mean there isn't other stuff out there, just that we are not aware of it!
Thanks for all your kind words and for your opinions -it really is very useful indeed.
cheers
