HI

Yes I do have both sets - I was thinking of extreme single hits of a more musical/atmos type.

One issue I have noticed is when loading the 'Kit 2' version - I keep getting: "a newer version of Kontakt was used than the one you have" - it means I can't load the 2nd version of a kit - I have the latest version of Kontakt and (what I am using them in) Battery.

Do you mean Abstrakt Vol.1 didn't have enough pads,or enough scripts?

thanks for your feedback, by the way..
Hi

Yes I mean vol 1 - I think its pretty good in places but for me there was too much emphasis on the sort of more percussive "things that go clank in the night" type of noises and very few of the sort of more slowly evolving and drifting athmospheric sounds I was hoping for (like Canadian Drift and Spaces within spaces). It is advertised as "lush multi-layered ‘workstation’ pads, complex cinematic soundscapes, strange vocal textures, and evolving musical effects" but to be honest for me there wasn't enough of those sort of sounds. Regarding scripting, I do think its possible for the KSP module to be used to create more algorithmic tools but even with the tools already there you can create some of the sounds I meant. I like the way KSP scripts can create overtones and harmonic resonances and that would be good to explore further as well. I don't know if it's capable of something as sophisticated as Karma though but something in that direction would be cool.

this is strange - .kt2 is the Battery 2 file, so should load fine into battery 2 - the .kit files are for battery 1.

Please contact us via email on the website, and we'll attempt to resolve this issue for you.

Hi,
well, i'm sorry to hear that not all the sounds are quite to your taste - to be honest, we were wary of including too many drifting pads, as we wanted to create patches that each had a kind of unique concept or flavour, so we tried not to repeat ourselves to much, if you see what i mean.

Our aim with the Abstrakt instruments was to inspire - not always the kind of patches that you slot into a half finished track ( although certainly many are suited to this), but the kind of sounds that inspire you to write a new track - with all the controllers and tweakability adding the the scope of this.

We described Abstrakt the way we did "lush multi-layered ‘workstation’ pads, complex cinematic soundscapes, strange vocal textures, and evolving musical effects", because to us that's what it was! I guess some of those terms are pretty subjective and will always suggest something different to different people.

For Abstrakt Vol.2 we plan to address this partly by building a bigger library in distinct categories ( Bass, Pads, Vocal), for example.

re :KSP -i agree about the overtones -we made the Overtone series Script for K.E., but that meant we were not allowed to use it in our own work! heh.never mind.

Hi there!

Just got my Konkrete disc, and am having a stupid amount of fun playing with the different kits. Like you say i haven't really found a set of kits that sounds like this before... i'm mainly using battery, but i love the option to use EXS24 now, what with it being so cpu efficient and all that. I make hiphop and grime and this is really different to all the usual stuff you get on hiphop sample cd's.

Great stuff, i just ordered abstrakt on the back of it. Just wanted to post and say thanks and keep up the great work

Thanks

Eddie

Hi I haven't bought Konkrete but I did buy Abstract and I love what you guys do!! Also I have bought Kontakt Experience(How I found you guys). All I can say is keep it up! Your sound design is top! I would compare Abstract with Distorted Reality stuff^_* Your pricing is insane for your quality of work just keep doing it!
It's hard to please everyone, but what you have done so far is deffinitly use able in a lot of styles, and film bgm galore!

Honestly, my feedback would be to do VA Drums vol. 2, then Abstrakt vol. 2, then Koncrete vol.2, then vol. 3, then vol. 4, etc. Keep em coming.

Just recieved my copy today, and very very good it is too.
I though also have a prob with the hammers kit saying a newer version of Battery is required.
I'm on a P.C. Xp pro, Motu 2408 Mk3, Cubase SX 3.1, Battery 2.1
I don't have anything against gravity but it really does weigh me down
