Well with ABL you were simply barking at the wrong tree (IMO). That thing IS awesome and innovative. And in that thread it was mostly users simply liking the sound and presentation. I've never user surge and don't know what that is.

I don't automatically like something. And I especially hate being spoon fed marketing statistics or other peoples opinions. As if it mattered how many people use something.

Only sound matters.
ahwell, it is a matter of opinion...wouldn't it be ironic if CSR really was the best reverb to date

however, ABL didn't sound good at all to me, so technically, I wasn't barking up any trees, just having an opinion.
it was more because the "spoonfeeding" we get here at KVR..it really starts to get to me and so many get deluded by it..bah.

perhaps I'm better of in OT.

I hate to get so personal about this, but you pretty much always just come across as the salesman one wants to get rid off. The yes man.

If it only was honest developer to user communication.. You're the middle man here. You also seem to exploit the fact you have insider information: it always comes out with a sales pitch.
I am also a developer though and run not only one of the very first company forums on KVR but also one of the most popular. Meanwhile, who are you on KVR? A troll? It sure seems like it.

Again, if you don't like my posts then Ben has added this great feature called "mute me". I suggest you use it if you don't like my posts. That's all I can say on that.

Simple as that. Not because it's IK or anything else. Talk is cheap. I hope it winds up ruling all other soft verbs. I'd buy it.
Fair enough. I wouldn't say EVERYONE is going to feel that way but certainly some, you being one. I never disagreed that a demo version would be very helpful to a lot of people.

However, we have a lot of pre-orders on www.esoundz.com so that might suggest to me that there are still a lot of people (whether it is because of the IK crossgrade deal or other) are okay to buy it based on the current information and demos. Each person is different right?

I will say though that as much as I hype stuff up, get excited etc. that I really do always say that people should make the most informed buying decision that they are comfortable with before you purchase.

Just someone with cultivated to high heavens elitist audio attitudes, and with a very strong taste in extremely high quality plugins and sound. I can be annoying and present an opinion of a very small minority.

But we want only the best and nothing but the best and will not jump on bandwagons of public opinion or marketing.

Could be it's just me I'm talking about.

The Miroslav Vitous is a gorgeous library.
IKM's only merit is actualy another marketing idea. They figured out that making a Miroslav version of the Smpletank with a touch of CSR would be a very good deal. And they were right.
And I say good for them.
Let's not forget, though, WHY this library is awsome; because of a crazy guy Miroslav. He has done a much greater effort in making this library then just grabbing the sounds and loading them into an already made piece of software.
Anyway, in my oppinion this is the best product IKM has released and I'm glad they did it.

How do we know if the demos that are posted on the IK website were actually made with CSR ?...and not let’s say with one of those outboard boxes? The reason I’m asking this question is because I know somebody who used tones of different equipment to make a demo that was totally irrelevant to the product he was selling.

And here are some other questions:
1. I own Lexicon PCM91 (Lexicon Studio card) and I would like to know if CSR is an improvement over Lexicon unit?
2. How many presets come with CSR?
3. Do you plan to make any additional upgrades in the future?
4. I own EMU studio. Do I have to prove that I own it in order to qualify for the cross grade?
5. Was it tested with Samplitude?
6. How long would it take to ship this product into Canada?
7. Is PC VST version of T-Racks is as good as the one that is made for Protools?

Thanks

Okay. Well, then that makes sense. I know many people like that. So, you said it yourself. You just need to make up your own mind and nothing someone like me would say even matters to you. That's fine.

Look, I really don't want to go at it with you and Snooky. I am sure we all have impressions on the forum of each other but in person it'd be a completely different thing. We'd probably all laugh.

So, peace to you guys. May CSR answer all of your wildest dreams on its own merits. ;) (it's just a friggin' reverb plug-in! Wooppedeedoooooo! Get it or don't get it.)

Alrighty. Back on topic anyone? My dinner's getting cold for you btw. Just to let you know how much I loves my KVR. (even pissing off my wife many-a-time).

Bye!

or maybe I'm wrong and CSR will blow every reverb out there ;)

Actually, that was my idea and Sonic Reality did the sound programming for about a year and it was a LOT more than just throwing them into SampleTank I can assure you (I want my team of programmers to read your post and start growling at you after all that hard work they did). I agree that what makes Philharmonik so great is mostly what Miroslav had captured. But, the whole thing together (the way it was programmed this time around, the new playback technology from the enhanced ST engine it has etc.) is what makes it the product it is. If you really want to be informed about what you are talking about then I recommend checking out the videos that I did on www.philharmonik.com in the downloads section at the bottom. There's a lot more to it than putting his expensive library into SampleTank (although that alone I agree would have been valuable enough for many people).

ok, checking the link now, thanks.

I don't know. I just think it is a good one to have in your set up even if you have some other good reverbs that surely sound different and have different parameters.
