"replacer" is a VST plug-in designed to replace drum and percussive sounds with other samples. Basically, it is comprised of a band-pass filter which selects the relevant frequency of the sound required to be replaced, and then the peak amplitudes at this frequency then trigger chosen sample/s. The samples can be 16 or 24-bit PCM Wave files recorded at any sample rate.

Features:

* 24dB band-pass filter
* Simple gate
* Visual and audio monitoring section
* 4 sample layers (full version)
* Sample start and end adjustment
* Accent amount and smooth (attempts to replicate the dynamics of the original trigger sound)
* Sample ADR envelope with amount control
* Sample pitch control

There are two versions available - "replacer ltd" is limited to one layer and is completely free; "replacer" has four layers and a donation is required. There is no minimum donation amount.

Thanks dunder - any feedback would be muchly appreciated.

perhaps it's just my host burping, but it doesn't recognize the vst. Unfortunately, this does happen from time to time.

Making Waves Studio is the host.

It's pretty buggy on my box, too. Using Samplitude. When it does work, however, it works pretty well.

funny, i've built a similar project with SE too (but 4 voices), good luck for your release :)

dunder -

downloaded the Making Waves demo to see what was up. It recognized the VST for me, but when I went into Track Files/Audio Effects/VST plug-ins the presets were in a folder called "container" - saw that I'd forgotten to initialize all the presets as well - these'll both be fixed in the next couple of days. Anyways, I got the plug-in working but I couldn't work out how to route it so the original audio cannot be heard. :?

sboullion-

downloaded the demo of Samplitude as well and it seemed to be working OK for me - could tell me what problems you were experiencing?

Thanks for the feedback guys.

eric-

nice one - thankyou very much :)
