Cheesy pop on Sabado Gigante. I deeply regret having missed the singer's name. Killing time until the early news comes on.

"Cuidado con el Leon" was better than usual. Three -- THREE! of the singers were actually pretty good, so there was an applaud-off for the $1000 prize. (It's not uncommon for the executioner to play his trumpet for just about every contestant, and for the lion to eat very, very well.)

These guys were like a cross between Neu and Cabaret Voltaire...pent up freaked out vocals over slashing guitars, clattering drums and drumboxes and a bunch of Wasp synths. Well worth seeking out.
They made a less-than impressive comeback a few years back too. Not so great. But everything up to and including 'Bent Massive' is pretty great.

Yeah, my sentiments exactly...their later foray into dance music did nothing for me at all. Still, those first three or four records were excellent. Unfortunately, I no longer have my CDs of any besides "I Rage I Melt", and they are not easy to come by. I recently saw "Wet Skin and Curious Eye" going for fifty bucks...eek!

Listening to the latest Carter/Tutti now. Chris Carter is still one of my favorites.

Porfirio's Descent -- me

Thought it sounded pretty good for ambient bollocks. Didn't record it but I think I'll be able to reconstruct it later from memory.
