Why EnergyXT

Well some Cubase-users who use eXT too will be close, so just a short answer from me here. You can use EnergyXT inside Cubase (which I don't own) as an Effect-chainer, and as a Synth-chainer. But that's just the very basic thing. For somebody who makes electronic dance music, the creative possibilities with EnergyXT are endless... simply get yourself a demo, you can save all your projects and - in case you'd buy it - could load all of them into Xt and your Cubase, so wouldn't lose anything.
Read a bit in the eXt forum here, because finding out for yourself is always better...and if you want to test it, download DarkStar's "commands guide" (he runs the eXT-forum with Jorgen Aase, you can find the link easily there) and some more, eXT can be a bit tricky at the beginning. If you know your Cubase well, you should have not the least problems with eXT though I'd say:-).
The Cubase- AND eXt - users will tell you more profound things
all the best.

And here are some examples of how synths and vstis can be chained together in eXT - screenshots and mp3 links are at the bottom of the page:stoPpa wrote:Ok i will check that out, it sounds interesting!!! thanks for reply Klemperer

because considering the price there is nothing else like it, the possibilities it opens within your host are worth ten times the admission fee alone

One of the things that most often used to piss me of with Cubase (which I use with great pleasure otherwise) was the inability to reorder inserts. I could get insane. To the rescue: Energy XT. That really is enough to buy XT as a Cubase user. Then comes all the fun that XT is. Parallel VSTs comes to mind. As a stand alone application XT kicks butt. If you want to do live stuff you can't go wrong with XT. Go get it. Support an incredible developer and mend one of Cubase's major gaffes.

I have so many vst fx and inst that I do not use often. I have an extra folder for it. When I want to work with it in cubase, I load the extra vst in energy xt.
One of the killer features is the controller map.
With a Hardmidicontroller you can controll every
knob and every Fx very fast ( midilearn or manually)

Yes, I also read a lot about energy xt, but I don't really know what would give me so that it would justify my using it with FL. what exactly?

VURT your sig is hilarious!
Because if you buy it now for $50 you can upgrade for free to XT2 which is rewritten from scratch.

Do you not visit off-topic!!???
And yes ext is very much worth it, especialy with xt2 being developed. It can be used as a standalone host, within another host, and it is a very powerfull tool for live manipulation.

Is that true (about the price) and when is xt2 expected? (and what will be different from xt1...?)soma wrote:Because if you buy it now for $50 you can upgrade for free to XT2 which is rewritten from scratch.

Using XT as a VST inside CuBase also makes it easier to set up complex routing for effects like sidechain compression/gates and vocoders (especially in stereo)

Also, it loads up in a few seconds and can fit on a floppy disk.
