Shit! For the most part of the new track, I couldn't tell which is the real and which is the fake one...

Amazing work, Guido. I bet you'll absolutely nail it in the final version; the speed with which you improve your plugs is just unreal.

Tony, great playing.

I must say that the feedback you (and others, too) have provided in this thread is exceptional.

Actually, it sounded more like a valve trombone. I think you should lower the thing by one octave and release a valve trombone plugin too.

That would be cool Tony, any chance of busting out some cheap simple mariachi playing as well. I figure somewhere in between jazz and mariachi trumpet will be enough to get a feel for what's going on there. But I'll take what I can get.

Guido, once again GREAT JOB! Besides my longing for a bit of fingered portamento for the high range...my only other 2 requests are to allow us the option of smooth pitch bend, or the more natural pitch bend like your earlier betas had, and a brightness control. I have all the betas, and quite honestly, they all sound and behave slightly different, but they all sound great! In some contexts, I prefer some of the older betas, but love the definition/articulation of the latest beta. Again, they are all great! Maybe, just include them all as different trp models, so we can choose which one to use based upon the style of music we are working on at the time. Again, THNK YOU for all of your hard work!!!!

Guido, one more point of interest...I have loaded up Beta 2,3,4,5,and 6, and here is what I have noticed...I'm only refering to tone and NOT functionallity at this point. Beta 2 is the most "open" and brightist of them all, almost more natural sounding to me. Beta 3, and 4 are darker, nice for more classical styles. Betas 5, and 6 sound as someone else said a bit more like a valve trombone only pitched higher. They sound much more muffled when comparing them side by side to the earlier betas. As I've mentioned earlier, maybe just include them all in your final, or have a "brightness" control. Anyway, great work!

What to call it though - Cannonball'sTone, Trane'sTone, Mulligan'sTone?

I guess it all depends on how much plumbing you are modelling
