Any thoughts on trying the mighty sax next?
I guess it all depends on how much plumbing you are modelling

I'll see your Bird'Tone with a Sanborn'sTone and raise you a Garbarek'sTone.
(Any mention of K....G'Tone = game over)

on my trumpet vs beta6 demo its milestone on the first 2 bar phrase, then trumpet on the answering 2 bar phrase and then both with trumpet on top. then on bar 1 of the solo section the "and" of 1 is milestone for 2 eigth notes and then real cuts him off for a whole phrase and then milestone answers that phrase...
from there your ears will probably get the sound.
One by one he is getting rid of the things i listen for when looking to see if its fake or not.

Yeah, it's definitely getting noticably better, listening between this latest demo of yours to the last one. The difference between the real/synthesized trumpet is pretty obvious to my ears, but part of that is that I already know that one is synthesized.Tony Ostinato wrote:on my trumpet vs beta6 demo its milestone on the first 2 bar phrase, then trumpet on the answering 2 bar phrase and then both with trumpet on top. then on bar 1 of the solo section the "and" of 1 is milestone for 2 eigth notes and then real cuts him off for a whole phrase and then milestone answers that phrase...

Holy mother of cow, I wish I could play trumpet like that even with Miles'tone O_O
A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

Congratulations ZioKiller this thing is now amazing.
Although the differences between real/milestone in the Tony last demo are <yet> obvious (in many instances probably because I have the sensation that he is playing the wx5 more like a sax than a trumpet) in many phrases milestone sounds very very close to a trumpet, much more than any other virtual instrument (hard or soft) that I have heard previously.
In fact that last beta is a BIG improvement over the previous. Really amazing. Thanks ZioKiller, you have really a first class thing in your hands.
Tony your trumpet playing is very good, great tone, great musicality and expression, I like it more than some others things that I have heard from you. That have increased greatly my interest to hear the music you do, you have some material that can be heard?

Interestingly CM magazine have just caned Arturia Brass for sounding nothing like the real thing, it might be interesting to hear what they make of this..!
