Yes! Just saw an update on http://www.Audiodamage.com about a new effect on it's way.

BigSeq
Gate and Step-Filter

I am looking forward to more details on this. :hyper:

And it's cooler than you might expect, surprisingly different from what seems to be a fairly common multi-effect.

The best part is the way the lag and gating work on the filter. Let's you build supplementary boom-thwak-click rhythms on just one voice as it works like a fast envelope on the carry over to the ungated step.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about. I've taken a plain oscillator (the first stretch) and run it through a simple pattern on BigSeq (the second stretch). Using this method lets you get some cool artifacts to work with, different from using most other step filters.

I really dig the filter sound (it's a modified Chamberlain -12dB state variable), and there's a few fun extras like the difference in how the sequencer works in and out of sync.

Here's another riff I did, similar set up with just an oscillator running through it, but with a delay added.

From what Chris is saying, this should be available soon barring any unforeseen bumps in the road.

Cheers,
Steve

i'm surprised that in 2006 people are still putting out compelling VST plugins...this was supposed to be a 'hardware' year for me

i'm happy about it though

I'm having this- I use AD plugs on everything now. Bet it sounds great on vocals or sustained brass...

Has anyone tried their Fixed Filter Bank? How is it? Damn, they have some nice stuff.... :D

The 907A is a sweet piece of kit- you can put a nice subtle shimmer on sounds, and it couldn't be easier to tweak. I have my fingers crossed for a Lexicon Vortex emulation- it was a great unit, but one thing it lacked was MIDI control. I'd kill to be able to automate the morphing...

Thanks, I already bought it. I only had a brief look at it last night, but it sounds real purty from what I heard. For one thing, it adds a whole new dimension to Cameleon5k and CronoX3.
