Not driectly but I am sure that there are certain pharmaceutical 'plug-ins' that can achieve much the same effect.duncanparsons wrote:will the surround do the full holophonix thing - I mean, I want to hear that silence swirling around above my head, then skin down below the bridge I'm standing on

Oh yes, I get a lot of emails about these. There are some very kind souls out there very concerned about the size of my membership, and overall performance. I assume they are reputatble. Does anyone have any experiences they wish to share? (not necessarily about the emails..)

Of course they are - why else would they contact you?duncanparsons wrote:Oh yes, I get a lot of emails about these. There are some very kind souls out there very concerned about the size of my membership, and overall performance. I assume they are reputatble.
What concerns me, however, is why they presume that I need such enhancements. I mean... mine's 3 inches....
Nothing to brag about perhaps but my wife seems to likes it that wide!
But we digress...
No - the kind of 'plug-ins' I was referring to involve any special 'mushroom' VST - those, I am sure, will yield the desired effects you require.
That's great. Can I use that in my ads and marketing?duncanparsons wrote:

I'm still really a newbie catching up on his history, so I'm wondering if this collection has more of an emphasis on vintage silence?

I'd really have liked to use this sample pack in some nice yoga and meditation tracks.
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

A couple of questions - some technical: Do you think there will be an invisible front-end VSTi developed for this library? How extensive was multi-sampling. Any possibility that this contains samples of meditating Tibetan monks on retreat? I've been looking for these types of samples. Also, if you don't mind, I would love to know what kind of microphones weren't used for the sampling. Thanks

What's the polyphony like on this? High polyphony is important to me as I have an odd style of piano playing. I tend to hit my keyboard with a baseball bat a lot (I play black metal), which means I usually have 30-40 notes going at a given time. I'd hate to be on stage, back over my keyboard with my car and suddenly have the all the polyphony eat up too much CPU and start getting drop-outs in my audio!
Excuse all the blood.

Currently, it is a sample library only however your idea has mileage - a completely empty UI would be the ideal way to run this.mayan wrote:A couple of questions - some technical: Do you think there will be an invisible front-end VSTi developed for this library?
In keeping with the current trend (and fondness) for unecessary sample lib bloatware, the silences are sampled with 4,186 velocity levels for every note extended from C-2 to G9. All are recorded at 64-bit/384kHz which is ideal for a final playback medium of 16-bit/44.1kHz and a MIDI velocity range of 128 steps.mayan wrote:How extensive was multi-sampling.

That information is in breach of our trade secrets.mayan wrote:Also, if you don't mind, I would love to know what kind of microphones weren't used for the sampling. Thanks

Thank you for the offer Rang but we have a beta test team that includes many top DJs many of whom are extremely sought after for weddings, birthday parties and other events. One is actually a hospital radio DJ indicating that we have our finger on the pulse of the hippest DJ market.Rangtangtang wrote:Will there be beta testers?
