i just wanted to reply to guido's post quickly, business first eh? but a quick thanks to the nice comments but ill reply more about those in detail later.
Tony: how does the WX5 control the midi note on velocity?
I think it always sends velocity = 127 because I sill can't hear note transitions in your latest mp3.
In my lates beta I've added some kind of valve switching effect between different notes but it's based on the input velocity: the lower is the velocity, the louder and slower is the transition. So if you always have velocity = 127, you won't hear this effect and it just sounds like a synth.
Don't you have a midi file version of what you played? So I can test with different combinations.
Or I could add a velocity response control.
For the next beta I plan to add some more controls over the model and a brightness knob.
Are you smart? i think you are! yes i do!
Thats a regular default for wind controllers cause we want cc#2 to do everything, but oh my god its lost its relevance in todays softsynth world i think. its just been so long since ive thought about that until you said that, i kinda noticed it on the midi input and track display but i havent been recording midi ive been recording straight to audio.
blah blah blah excuses excuses.
theres a DIP switch (aptly named in this case) and ill throw it to the right mode:
l Switch 1-1 (Vel) - Velocity
Determines whether the key-on velocity will be fixed or
controlled by wind pressure.
SW 1-1 Setting
OFF Variable (fixed time delay)
ON Fixed (velocity - 100)
so later today ill try it that way and try to finish up a midi file of a semi latin tune (sorta kinda).
