Hi,

I am looking for a midi plug that can generate a random note within a selected range when a certain midi note are sent to the plug.. anyone know any plug can do this?
I search the old posts but look like most of the midi mapper is not suitable in my case.

What I want to do is, I have a few snare samples, I want these samples to be randomly triggered when the snare note in the midi track was hitted. I think it will sound more like a human playing a real drumkit.

Any suggestion? Thanks a lot!

If you can handle MFX plugins (Cakewalk, recent Cubase), then try my free TenCrazy.com MFX Note Rotator.

I use it for exactly the same sort of thing you mention.

Bidule VST will do this.

"Note Shuffler
Randomly alters the incoming MIDI notes.

Lowest/Highest Note: select the available range for randomization"

- from Bidule user manual

I am using Tracktion so MFX can't be used. The soma's plug doesn't work in tracktion, so I am going to try out xoxos's plug. Thanks a lot guys.
