Katrina Relief CD remix contest

Here is a special contest for Katrina Relief CD owners!!
Please read below and submit in this thread:


Contest: Katrina Relief CD remix/mashup
When: Submissions due by June 30, 2006
Who: Anyone can enter but you must own the KRCD (Katrina relief cd) to participate. Judging will commence on July 1, 2006 and will continue through July 15, 2006. The community will be the judges (similar to the monthly contests here).
Why: Because you could win the Elemental Audio Max Bundle.

Remix any of the songs on the Katrina relief cd to make an original arrangement. Please post a link to your submission in this thread and please make the filename represent you (ie freeztar-mysubmission).

The winner will recieve the Elemental Audio Max Bundle!!!!

The Rules:

1. Your submission must ONLY contain elements from the KRCD. (no outside samples or loops) {You must own the KRCD to participate}
2. Your submission must not exceed 20 minutes
3. You are free to use any processing you like
4. You must acknowledge the songs that you used to create your masterpiece
5. The final submit time is April 1, 2006, at 00:00 hours GMT

You know -- I wonder if those Elemental Audio people aren't fabulously wealthy by now -- Firium alone is probably the best mastering EQ you can buy in a VST module -- amazing products and they keep getting better!

*Personally (and I haven't had a chance to discuss this with the team yet), I think that if any of those who preordered haven't received their copies yet, then we could extend the deadline appropriately I reckon.

The deadline is now extended until April 15.
This allows extra time for those that got their cds late.

There are still no entries.
At this point, you could just play one song on top of another, submit it, and win a $300 plugin bundle.

I've got something cookin' too (just for fun).
I'm trying to use a bit of each song (including bonus tracks). It's a daunting task and I may have to go with only half the songs as it's taken me so long to do just half.

I was going to do a remix thing, but then I discovered the artist I was going to ask for an a cappella track runs his own fansite blog and I got scared... I think I'll need to come up with a Plan B.
