I just want share this, midiworks sent me a very helpful and thoughtful pm

I did delete a few parts that should be kept between Rene and myself...but it was not anything negative and again it's appreciated...thanx Rene...Midiworks wrote:Hi Hink,
To do vocals can be really a pain some times...
I was doing this for years, before vst.
Maybe this helps you:
Voxformer, was a great buy, use it.
AutoTune, use it very carefull,
the moment you can hear it, its too much.
This is all you really need, the rest is cosmetics.
Choirs are a different pair of shoes...
There is nothing vst wise out there atm.
The best I found is the "Digitech Vocalist"
Its hardware only and no formant shifting...
But it still does the job better than any other tool.
Oh, I just checked !
They did new versions WITH formant shifting now !!!
But discontinued already.
You can still get them tho:

btw, those were the first AutoTunes ever !
Auto tuning was rather a side effect... but it worked !
(ca.1987-1992)![]()
I hope my writing was usefull for you,
now have fun and make some nice music !
Cheers
Rene

Earlier than the Digitech Vocalist was the IPS-33b intelligent pitch transposer which also featured pitch correction, in fact you could have it do over correction, or pitch mirroring as they called it, where if you play sharp itll play flat and the opposite, great for practicing intonation.
i still have 2 of em hehehe.
what i would like to see is a harmonizer/pitch corrector than can use a harmony map, a note by note assignment of transpose intervals, like the vocalist and ips-33b could.

I changed the topic title to anounce,
TripplerX whitch will replace DuosX.
TripplerX
while playing with the old one,
I thought 1 doubled voice left and 1 on the right, would be nice.
Thats what TripplerX is all about.
Hit a button and add a 2nd doubled voices to your main voice.
Release the button and its a normal doubler again.
Still with adjustable random and input variation for
timing, pitch and vibrato depth.
Also 2 more outputs will be added for even more control.
Should be ready soon.

Found it, and its DigiTech too !
Everybody always talked about Eventide,
But for me DigiTech are the masters.
