Hi all!

Sorry if this in the wrong spot, but the truth is, I'm not entirely sure how to describe what I'm looking for.

The situation: I run a web show based on GTA Vice City called PEDS. I'm currently working on the second season theme song, which is somewhat derivitive of the first season theme. What I want to do is to use the first five seconds of the old theme, but slow and stop the last second or two, before blasting into the new theme.

The only examples I can think of are "Skin" by Collective Soul from the Blender album, and some song from Metallica's St. Anger, I think (I don't own the latter, for obvious reasons. :) )

Here's the last two seconds of "Skin" and the effect I'm looking for:

Skin Sample

Go to the Pawfect Films Website (http://www.pawfectfilms.com) and click on any of the episode links to to get an idea of the theme I am currently using (these links will take you to machinima.com; just click on watch or download to view the episodes).

Any ideas on how I can accomplish this?

Thanks very much in advance!

Tapestop, indeed.

AWESOME! :)

Thanks very much; this is exactly what I wanted!

For some reason TapeStop didn't want to work with Cubase. When I had that as an effect in the prog, it corrupted my cpr :/ And I couldn't get it working in mixdown either (every now and then yes, but I have no clue what was wrong)

TapeStop is the simplest way to do exactly what you want.

TapeStop worked just dandy in Sonar 4. No problems at all.

Sounds really nifty. I'm sure my sister will want it too. :)

No probleme with cubese and tapestop here !

Weird, very weird :/ We have the latest SX3 in our studio and sometimes it didn't want to recognize TapeStop, when it did, the plug worked very weirdly :/ Have to investigate, since I really like the plug.
