Kontakt 2 /Sonar Question

Here's a quick question: I'm just too much of a newcomer to samplers and sampling to figrue out where the problem lies...Here' s the logistics...Sonar Pro5.01, Kontakt up to date version, and Delta66.
If I record samples or soundfonts of Kontakt *.nki instruments (say from Distorted Reality converted from AKAI) to MIDI, they playback fine but if I try to render to an audio track, for some reason only certain notes get picked up - I tried it with relatively short samples...say a C and a G...it may not pick up the G (for example) when I render. I don't know if this makes any sense - but I'm not sure whether it's some sort of MIDI channel setting in Sonar, or an output setting in Kontakt, an audio setting in Sonar, etc. Could it be that one channel is picking up one note and one channel another note? At any rate, any guidance would be very appreciated. Thanks!

First up amount of memory and processor speed can help in discounting pc performance issues.
The fact that while playing back the file with midi triggering Kontakt, and everything sounds fine, does point to a rendering issue. You should be able to quickly identify in Kontakt what output channels are being used by your sounds. Is it more than just 1 & 2, ie single stereo pair? Did you insert Kontakt into Sonar with the allow multiple outputs option? Do you have multiple output tracks in Sonar? Sonar 5 allows you to see the outputted waves without having to render first. Are more than the first pair of output track showing audio information?
Next, how did you render to audio, I often find the quick freeze works well but sometimes I need it to work in realtime for the best results. More questions, is there a voice limit attributed to your sound in Kontakt? Are there global tempo changes in the song, I know I have notes cut out when using DXi version of Kompakt in Sonar, the VST version works much better.
Sorry for all the questions and not many answers but there are many factors that can affect rendering quality.
I hope you get it sorted.

Kontakt 2 has an offline mode for bouncing. It is somewhere in the menues.Find it,turn it on and see what happens. I think it is in the Audio engine tab.

Try unchecking "fast bounce" in the bounce down menu in Sonar.

thanks all...I guess this is the problem with not "knowing" the ins and outs of all facets of the program, ozineexile...When looking at my Kontakt "Output" dialogue, I see two open outputs (st.1 and 2). The Midi data is all recorded to one track - although I'm not sure how to check which outputs are being used in playing back a complex soundfont file.
If I load a Soundfont - let's take Spiral Winds from Distorted Reality, the instrument panel shows only one outlet being used when I play a note. I'm using a MIDISPORT 4X4 but it's only showing that Port A is available. Maybe this is all good...but I'm still not sure as to how to set it for multiple outs (is it in Kontakt or in Sonar that I should be looking). I'll try to hit the manual again, as well.
Again thanks for everyone's help. I guess the easy thing to do would to just record the output to an audio file.
