ah bones... i see what you mean mate
there's a few different things going on...when i'm recording music or really using the master keyboard at all, i don't hardly EVER EVER touch the mouse or computer keys, 95% of all computer interaction is done with the TranzPort (you see it on the upper left of the masterkeyboard), i only really touch the laptop keyboard rarely to issue a cubase key command or two.
when i'm not using the masterkeyboard and music stuff, there's a dust cover over the masterkeyboard, and the black computer keyboard is brought down to rest over where the keys of the masterkeyboard are, and the mousepad placed right beside it - those being right in front of me when i'm sitting.
so no strain. that computer is only ever used to do music though, so i bring the keyboard and mouse down for editing stuff.
hope that makes better sense

I can really say this with a straight face that after living with a bunch of gear for years, it's good to use'm for wall decorations instead!selfconstruct wrote:Looking at these studio pics, I'm so jealous I feel physical pain.
but then again.... I make music fer the hell o' it and dam the torpedos, praise de' lo-ord... and pass the ammo (said Dick the vp)
sitting in my Lazyboy, typing this, thinking about firing up the music software instead, so I can fix up another heap-o-crap that sometimes resembles music.
simplicity is my new way of life...
and I LIKE it!
ohh, just noticed the image shack thingy, very cool...

Yeah, it's a litre can and a 15inch monitor. The instrument is a guqin. The dog - I'm not so sure about.

well ... bringing the few bits of hardware i have down from the loft into a spare room (so i might actually use it every so often) seems as good an excuse as any for another montage ...

... but most of my tinkering happens here (also good excuse to show off my newly-delivered toy - paid for by birthday cash from last week) ...
