Hi, I have Pro Tools 7 for PC and fxpansions latest version of BFD.

Is there a way to convert a BFD groove from it's groove library to midi notes on a midi track in Pro Tools?

I see in the manual it mentions a drag and drop feature for VSTs only. But is there and alternate way to get a groove into a midi? Thanks for the help

from my limited knowledge of groove manipulation in PT, this task would be likely be accomplished using Beat Detective.

I am not to faimliar with Beat Detective but I'll look into it. Thanks

That kind of works but it doesn't actually give me specific midi notes. It will work but it's not the most efficent way. I guess BFD only does "midi out" with VST? I wonder if that is a Pro Tools issue or fxpansion issue. Hopfully oneday they will get that working. Thanks

Ah ha! Exellent! I see you can drag and drop the ACUTALLY midi files from the explorer window (PC). I am assuming that is what you ment.

That works good enough for me. Unless you even know a way to drag and drop the mids from the groove library window in BFD. I grab them from the bfd library and it makes a music icon so you feel oh ya this is gonna work, but then it doesn't.

That would be even better. But this will work just fine. Thanks for the help.
