So are you saying you CAN pinch in now?
What is pinch-in? AFAIK it's punch in... :) I must have liked the term I used it twice  and no we still can't punch-in.

I did some testing in Cubase and Host Sync seems to work just fine... Midi loop playing is too much fun. Wow! This thing is exciting

Hi tom,
thanks for the considerations and making them possible. :tu:
I'll have a try later on to see how it works now ;)

Well, I can't seem to make it work in Bidule. Sorry.
Maybe I don't understand Bidule correctly (I'm also new to it-trying it out ATM),
but anything else seems to work the way I'd like it to.

Btw., CC#64 triggers the volume level of track number 4 or 5, fader toggles up 'n down.

Cheers
Raphael ;)

I couldn't buy TunaFish pretty much only because Bram had zero interest in adding audio sequencing. If I can understand how using this with TunaFish works, I might.

(from my log:)
VST: 8-Track wants vstTimeInfo, but no cando(receiveVstTimeInfo)

And your plugin appears like its a sync "generator"

I think you got your candos inverted, you should answer 1 to
"receiveVstTimeInfo" and not "sendVstTimeInfo"

Tunafish still has some bugs to work out with version 1.3. I actually just bought it for fun. I have so many hosts now, and yet I still haven't found my host nirvana. :-) Tunafish is a fun concept for a scratchpad host, that only needs a few things done to be the perfect scratchpad host. As for my real work, I mainly use Sonar, FLStudio, eXT, etc. I also have n-Track Studio and PG Audio's Powertracks Pro Audio. (and a bunch of freeware hosts.) ;-)

I think this is a cool concept, and I hope it works well with Tunafish too. I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Bidule does not have a master transport. You need to load the step sequencer. Right click on 8-Track and select "Sync To" Step Sequencer. Open 8-Track and turn "Host Sync" on. The Step Sequencer transport will now control the 8-Track Start/Stop.

I don't know what you want to do and I've only had Bidule for about 15 minutes but at least this seems to work.

Simply click the learn button move the control on 8-Track then move the knob on your controller to reassign the CC#.

Bidule has several ways tp provide transport sync. I had used the "Sync Transport" module, which is basicly like the master transport of any "conventional" sequencer.
I'll have another try at it. I know I'm a bit slow when learning new things and sometimes I'm just being dumb  so thanks for your patience.

No big thing. Sync Transport works too if you right click on 8-Track and select "Sync To" Sync Transport. 8-Track now comes up as a VSTi but still seems to work.

Thanks, I'm downloading it now. I'll check it out.

8-Track v.05 is up.

o fixed meters
o added 3X input preamp
o added metronome w/host sync
__it does not stop / stop with the internal transport by design. Although this may change in v.06.

Flip over to setup for new controls.
I didn't get a chance to update the manual yet.
