More ram help a lot? No, not really. Might help things run smoother (I got crackles with DR-008 with the WizLive kit with 256 megs of RAM, but ran smooth with 768 megs of ram, for example) but no improvement to CPU usage. Faster ram, if your motherboard and CPU support it, AND you bought slow ram in the first place could help some plug-ins. Otherwise, it's the CPU that will have the most dramatic impact. Tweaking the OS can help too, although I'm starting to believe with loading all the latest patches and updates from Microsoft cures the early problems and doesn't make as much of an impact anymore.cimoc wrote:Sure, more ram helps a lot. And faster cpu. And new mobo. Not being an expert, from what I read, ram is the best bet, if you are on a budjet. But DO THOSE TWEAKS!!!
