I just downloaded the demo of Wizooverb v2, and the CPU usage is insane! At the 'high' quality setting, I can't even load *one* instance without the audio literally stopping!

P-IV 3.2 Ghz w/HT, 1.5GB DDR2 SDRAM

I mean, what is the world coming to?! :-o

FL Studio v5.0.2 Demo, ASIO4ALL v2.6 (17ms, 44100)... CPU Usage shown in FL ranges between 2 and 15%, however Task Manager shows FL 'idling' at 53% with one instance of Wizooverb acting on one instance (playing a single note 4 steps long) of the 'Plucked' synth. When playing, audio stutters and *slows down* drastically and CPU usage in Task Manager jumps to 63-70%.

Are you sure you are using the 'High' CPU load option on the Setup page in Wizooverb?

I have no idea what a denormal problem is.

Have a look here http://phonophunk.phreakin.com/articles ... zation.php The best explanation I know of.
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

thanks Ian. Can you reproduce the problem? I don't think it is caused by high CPU loads during periods of near or absolute silence; it is happening even when I use Wizooverb on some pads.

just a guess, but the cpu usage of convolution reverbs greatly increases with the use of longer ir`s.
so if you guys are comparing cpu usage, this might be a thing to be coordinated first.
thought i`d mention that.

Hi

Has nobody find any solution until now, how you can get the Wizoo Verb W2 in FL Studio working ???

I've tried to load it through some VST-Wrappers.
At first this: http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/VS ... pper_Lite/
This makes no difference. :( The same problems ...

But then I've tried the Cakewalk VST-DX Adapter ( http://www.kvraudio.com/get/279.html ).
If I load the WizooVerb through this adapter the sound don't stocks, but also have much crackle in it. But this appears with every VST I've loadet through this wrapper.

Now I have three questions:

1. Does somebody know, how you can fix the problem with the Cakewalk VST-DX Adapter under FL Studio ?

2. Does anybody know other VST-Wrappers (maybe there is one, which is working with the WizooVerb under FL) ?

3. Does anybody know another way to use the WizooVerb directly in FLStudio ???

PS.: Sorry, if there are spelling mistakes in the text. I'm from Germany and I'm still learning good english. *g*

And btw ... a forum, where I get an answer that is really helping ... and this in that short short time.
I think I will look in here more often in the future.

@Space Boy
Sorry, but I don't understand your humor ...

Then again if you turn on famous fixed size buffers there is some delay even when you set W2 to zero latency mode (on by default) and this is confirmed by IL staff. Very noticeable when used on sends. So your best solution (to get everything in sync) is to set up W2 to non zero latency mode. I use "med" CPU usage and latency is 42,67ms. From there you can use FL semi automatic PDC to get everything in sync. W2 is outstanding convo reverb. But built in algo reverb cant touch not even close to AA reverb. All in all great convo reverb.

p.s. in Cubase W2 work flawless and you dont need to think about PDC channel calculating.

I take it that you didn't try Elevayta Convo Boy then.
