I've installed the new sound set on my new laptop. My song files with ST2XL sound the same, so it appears that all the sounds I've taken from the old sound set can be found in the new. Which is very convenient.
Now, I'd rather not bother installing the old sound set as well - so can someone tell me if I'm missing out on anything by not doing so? Are there any old gems left behind in the new?

I just installed 2.1 over top of 2.0, so unless the installer actually makes a point of deleting files (I doubt it), any sounds not in 2.1 that are in 2.0 are probably still there.

Like I said, this is a new machine; I haven't installed 2.1 on top of 2.0.

2.1 installs much easier than 2.0 because there's not constant disk swapping.

Yeah, it was quite hassle-free.
I'd still like to hear if anyone has discovered anything in the old soundset that's worth adding to the new.
By the way: minor detail, but why does the 2.1 plug-in read 2.x? For some reason it annoys the hell out of me.
