Thanks again, idragosani. I appreciate it.

I think you'll have to first use the new CSR key, and then transfer the license afterwards. Personally I wouldn't recommend getting too experimental with the license keys - you could be in a spot of bother if you make a mistake.

You don't need to remove the USB key or manually transfer licenses... the installation should do it rather painlessly for you. Although I imagine if it doesn't detect a USB key then it will complain.
I don't think this is correct. With IK crossgrades, the authorisation is done when you register online. That way the crossgrade doesn't need to have the other software installed at the same time. You still need to go through the regular installation process, and you will receive a new USB key. You can transfer multiple licenses onto one key later, but the installer doesn't do it automatically like you suggest.

The only difference between the crossgrade and the non-crossgrade version is the crossgrade has a different serial number that you can only register online if you have already registered the other product. The installer on the disc is no different.

Hope that clears things up a bit.

OK, I guess I just don't remember the specifics. It was all very seamless last time I did a crossgrade (MP to ST2.1), I only remember having to do the online authorization, it didn't ask me to do anything with the USB key (which was already installed).

Brett,

That's because ST2 doesn't use the key ;-)

So far only Miro and now CSR use the key...but AT2 is going to use it and I think just about any IK product going forward...
Play what you feel and feel what you play.
