I was always wondering if there is a way to record midi part into audio once you are happy with it but I never knew how. i do know how to do it with hardware synths in Cubase SX/Nuendo, but is there a way to do it with VST intruments in Cubase SX/Nuendo without going to Export->Audio Mixdown ?
I believe this method will save tons of resources and will make everyone happy !

It's called "freeze" which in theory is the same as a mixdown / export / render / whateveryoucallit but with the option to un-freeze and continue work on it.
