hey guys,
i have been interested in a pitch correction processor for some time now. i would like to use it both to fix pitch and also to creatively mangle pitch on vocals and other instruments.
so my question is, how do melodyne uno and autotune compare in these respects? can anyone recommend one over the other, or possibly some other pitch correction software?
melodyne uno or autotune?

a vote for melodyne uno. you can do things in it that you absolutely cannot do in autotune. PLUS, it doesn't have the horrible PACE virus-copy-protection

since september I have auto-tune and AVOX. Then auto-tube was C/R and AVOX was ilok...due to user error I had troubles coding it...antares coded it for me...it's been plugged in since...I can state with 100% confidence that ilok has not caused me any troubles at all...I have complete faith in ilok myself and wish I could store all my codes on it...vksf01 wrote:a vote for melodyne uno. you can do things in it that you absolutely cannot do in autotune. The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

You might try GTune (haven't tried it myself yet, but it's a lot cheaper)

I agree that melodyne uno gets my vote (because in addition to the pitch correction the formant correction is amazing). Typically I can get things done faster with AutoTune, but being able to change the sound character can be very useful for hiding that you used pitch correction at all.
