Hello my friends.

I'm glad to announce that Sxratch has been updated to v2

I think Sxratch was useless in the past, but now it is a good VST alternative to TTPro. And FREE of course so go grab it.

What's new:

New skin.

Wav loader.

Scratching mouse response totally reworked.

New sensivity controls for better accuracy.

Pitch reset and rewind button.

Added some filters.

Nice, very nice.
I must now attempt to use this with my axyz dome.

The Alesis Photon X25 USB/MIDI Controller looks really sexy. What does that axyz dome does?

When you wave your hand over it you control 3 midi channels:
up/down, left/right, near/far

You can link these to any control in your DAW, sequencer, VST parameter, whatever

So hopefully I'll be able to link your plugin to scratch with just the wave of my hand.
Typically I use if for something like dubdelay, set the up/down to control the wet/dry level, the right/left for feedback & the near/far for delay time.

Would be cool to have a video of that!

Please re download the Sxratch zip file, I've added a "cheesy_scratch.wav" file to load by default.

Hey Spyro, I can't load a wave file into Sxratch and play it back using MIDI out in FL like your instructions say. It would help if you added a play/pause and cue buttons for testing as well as for longer files.

The second slider and scope should move when is working (and with a loaded wav)....for some reason it doesn't work well if it doesn't has any wav loaded by default. Tell me what are your exact findings about this?...a workaround is to turn off and on the plugin....blah blah...

Re download the zip file is the best solution as I configured it to load a default wave. (it SHOULD)

About files, I don't really recommend anything longer than 10 seconds, not that sxratch will crash or something, but the measuring slider (the second one) acts strangely with long waves (probably my crappy maths)

ugh, my search continues for a VSTi-DJ Deck that's good for DJing sets with...

Try also hitting CTRL-H to re run the audio engine.

Yes this is only for scratching, not mixing whole songs.

this seems pretty cool. :) is it possible to control this with midi CC's, and if not...would you consider adding CC support?

This is great! I haven't used this plugin in a track yet, but the functionality you've added makes it more useful and now I think I could use it. Thank you for the update.

What's the "gmon.out" file in the archive?

Added now (download the zip again), not sure how it will work due to the 127 steps MIDI limitation.

Nevermind, is a file generated the first time you run Sxratch (not sure where it comes)...now it was removed from the zip file.

Ok, because I deleted the file and it seemed to work so I wondered why it was there. :)
