i am looking for something similar to GURU. i love its power, but i am interested in a sampler that is more of a sound twister and automator than a sequincer. maybe some sort of looping machine like intakt or something. know of anything?

f**k, you know, Guru is something that I keep thinking about. I keep thinking that I'd really like it. But I don't quite get exactly what it does... where did you try it? There's no demo, and it's way to expensive to pick up on a 'hope'. Dammit I wish there was a demo. This is something I think i'd buy, but instead I don't even try it....

Ever tried Max/MSP, Muff? I hear it's another great impulse buy. :-}

Meffy, yeah I thought of that one, kinda cheapish for an impulse buy though. I like to know i'm getting something with substance. Like the ADL Limiter. That was a KICKASS impulse buy. :hihi:

edit: why tf did i think there was no demo? heh :nutter:

Well there was a kind of BFD-demo - included in Computermusic-mag 89, I think. A version with no time-out, strictly reduced samples+kits of course. At least you could test BFD with it.
