Great, don't bother with the mouse as it's way better to use MIDI controller keys (or computer keyboard for some people) for such a task.

could you make a version that's recognized as an instrument, not an effect like you did when sxratch was originally released?

i could get the old sxratch to work perfectly in Live but this update (which looks AWESOME) isn't complying too well.

if you could do this for me i'll try to type up a step-by-step guide to using it in Live.

i'm really excited about this new version.

thanks!

Done!

Sxratch updated to 2.1

What's new:
  • Mute button: You can control sxratch muting using MIDI keyboard notes and also you can link this button to your hardware.
  • Mute response: Negative, positive muting response.
  • Hold response is smoother.
  • Rewind button has new look.
  • VSTi version added (useful in certain hosts)

Not at all... not yet, seems I have to do more reseach on that subject.

Bumping with another suggestion :
on other scratching apps I tested one of the cool feature I miss is to have 2 buttons/MIDI notes that would mute the sound depending on the motion of the wave file. 1 note mutes the output when the "vinyl" is being moved backwards, the other note has the opposite function : muting when the file it's moved forwards.
It allows an easy access to realistic scratching routines. Of course the regular "cut" MIDI note is a keeper.
