How do you do it guys? :?:
It showed up in chainer as both effect and instrument but it dissapeared in cubase as an effect. Not what we want, so I recompiled as an effect only and now cubase is happy. I'm happy without VSTi access and unless someone has other problems I'll leave it as an effect.

I'm still working on the effects section. Any effects requests?

some filters would be cool ... and some EQ

It has 2 SV filters that can be used as EQ. Select Notch-mode and kill the rez. The Notch knob will hi/lo cut at the cutoff frequency. I know what you mean though...

I forgot to tell you to activate the "Sends" only button on the track or the source will be so loud you won't be able to hear the filter effect. "Sends" mutes the track main buss output but leaves the sends active.

The possibility to record a stereo source in the 8-track
would be great,maybe i'm wrong but i can't do that :(
Something useful: a SOLO button :singer:

use two tracks : one for left, the other for right; that's the way some old four-track cassete recorders worked.

Yes i know, but the signal always get mono even if i pan each track
when i use the 2-track it's allright for stereo but not the 8-track.

I didn't know this about the channels are mono. Makes it less zowie to me.

yeah .. it's kinda like how i used to send samples from my old SX16 through my bass station, and then just return the filtered sound through the desk ... excellent!!

Solo button [check] :)

It should be recording stereo or two mono tracks if not I'll fix it.

Great news,thanks ! :)
I'm not yet able to integrate cubase in 8-track but someday
maybe you'll fix it :D

8-Track v.09 is up.

o fixed stereo track recording
o fixed record level problem

I need to fix a buss summing problem as the tracks are added to monitor / playback the buss gain goes up. That's not right. There is also the CPU problem.. It's getting high so I need to do some cleanup and refine the effects. The stereo delays are out I'll replace them with monos. Maybe a few other hard choices too.

All fixed. You could always record a stereo file with the mixdown recorder but somewhere down the line I messed up the tracks. You do understand that in order to play a stereo file from the tracks you must load it into two track and pan hard left/right. 1 track in mid pan will play a stereo file in mono. The mixdown recorder will still play/recored in stereo.

I was actually thinking that there must be a way to load VST effects. I don't think so though. :)
