To use Subsonar I understand you have to know how to use Command Lines.
Unfortunately I am completely pig ignorant about this.

Is there a complete dummy's step by step guide on how to use subsonar?

Nope; its a command-line application, but you dont do anything except run it. All the configuration info is in a text file which you can edit in your favourite editor.

The documentation is about as step-by-step as it gets...

OK, well humour an me....a complete idiot like I said...

I downloaded the zip file.
In the zip file is the file called Subsonar.exe....nothing else.
I double click the Subsonar.exe file and the box appears with the black screen.....it says "Hit return to continue"
I hit Return.
The black creened box disappears but an SSDAT File appears in my folder (whatever that is).
What do I do with this I wonder?

Where be the text file that you speaketh of Mr Rabbit?

Yup. The documentation is on the website.

(ie at http://whiterabbitdesign.co.uk/main/stu ... _docs.html )

Thats it, yes. When you run SUBSonar the first time it 'renames' your wrapped plugins according to the folder they're in. The information is then stored in the .ssdat file...
if the .ssdat file already exists, SUBSonar uses the information from that, rather than just the name of the folder.
You can leave the .ssdat file as is, or customise it further.

Please read the documentation, though; it should explain everything you need to know...
