if you were a god of doing, you would know that the only .sep in milesTone is guido's reg system.. ;)
I'm willing to be proven wrong (please tell us Guido) .... then I'll move over to the dark side.... hehe

ps. you been reverse engineering Guido's efforts, naughty boy? hehehe

That very statement proves how little you understand how SE works..
no 'reverse engineering' is needed, the evidence is there in front of your eyes... again

I was about to say that ian!!

I'm here, and I think it's superb. I don't really care what someone develops in, it's only a tool, and it's the result that counts. What Guido has done could be hardcoded in c++/delphi/etc, but would be a pain to debug..

Go Guido!

I am FULLY aware it is effectively an interpreted script (ie. no real code, read SLOW.... LOL)

Reverse engineering would still be required to turn it back into a SE project, duh

you don't have to use SE plugs you know...

agreed, but it would not be required to work out that no third party modules were used, duh

When the models of sax and trumpet are mature, it can be worth it to rewrite and optimize them in C++ as it would probably result in lower CPU usage. At this stage SE is best for quick testing of ideas I guess.

But in the end, who gives a f**k as long as they sound like these!

BTW, an idea for the trumpet - it would be nice to have a trombone mode with stepless slides.

Amazing instruments! These are the first synths I have heard that make me want to get a Windows machine just to use them!

This thread has been so helpful with such great feedback which has assisted development. Can we please leave off the SE stuff in this thread and keep it focused on what has made this one of the best threads I have read on KVR. There are plenty of other long discussions on the pros and cons of SE.

Thanks...

 when can we expect to play with the sax? i think we can all agree that we're dying to get our hands on it. sorry to be a pain in the ass, but this is one the most exciting things happening in my life right now, other than waiting for a phone call saying that i got a job.

Whenever you load in a Synthedit-created VST/VSTi, it always unpacks the .sep modules, so you can see what was used.

So there! :)
