Well just to be contrary I'm firmly against. The Music Cafe works better than most on the weeb. Don't f**k that up, please.
The Auditorium is a nice place (and I should remember to post there more often).

I disagree. Finding anything in the cafe is a chore, because its not organised in any way other than by post date. So it basically ends up that the most recent stuff is the stuff that gets heard.
That's hardly right.

It wouldn't mess up anything like that at all; it would give a quiet place to discuss without being bombarded with questions about validating why something should/would be called music etc. The results could then be heard here as well afterwards where such person(s) could decide for themselves and wouldn't be an irritant in a back-stage production/experimental enviornment.respirator wrote:Well just to be contrary I'm firmly against. This is rachMiel's idea.Spe3D wrote:Sounds good - this I will set-up today in the first section of the auditorium - under that name 'Alchemaic Digitalis' - the moderators will be don and grilla
I am open to suggestions for a short one line description for the new forum too.
Best regards,
Peter
I think he should have the honors doing that.

giving me one break - it's all experimental, isn't it? now you wanta herd off "the special people" so the normals don't accidentally have to witness one and get all thrown off of buying things or letting other people do their thinking..

It's not even that xoxos. Its more about collecting people together who are like minded, having a place to sort of call home I suppose.
We have youth clubs in the real world, bingo halls, churches, sports facilities... no reason it shouldn't also transpose onto the internet.

ooh sell it bro :pAmberience wrote:It's not even that xoxos. Its more about collecting people together who are like minded, having a place to sort of call home I suppose.
like we could have nice schools for those picaninnies so they don't have to be on the public buses or water fountains with people who aren't.. ahem.. "like-minded.."
you call it "a place ot call home." i call it "shove off and don't be where we can see you."
think ahead, bro - first it's "all convenient for special people," next it's "ahem, aren't you getting a bit ahead of yourself? we don't post that sort of thing in this forum.. go over there with those others like you.."
we're musicians. we communicate. there's no need for it. how do you think we're supposed to touch each other if you're not supposed to be seen?
it's like hyde park corner. i make vsts as a platform for having some memetic authority to remind people that wow! you're crazyfun lifestyle f**ks up the world! ("yeah bro whatever, i don't see it.. sitting around playing with computers is just good clean fun and doesn't use any energy from anywhere that hurts anything..")
get with it! i'm from f**king england and the f**king u.s. this is how bitches run they game. "all nice and tidy," leading us to the current shithole our culture's in now (don't see it? i guess you're not some poor "minority" - what's that even mean, really, eh??? - in the u.s. who has to join the army and go to iraq to feed your kid because no one in town will hire you.) motherf**ker - i almost joined the army last october after looking for work since june. this isn't a f**king joke.
i swear to god if it ever gets to where anyone petitions for a hiphop forum none of you will never hear the end of it because i'll come round all your houses with a bloody megaphone.
got that?

xoxos, I'm having a little trouble following your argument.xoxos wrote:like so many pieces of garbage.Amberience wrote: collecting people together
I've read through it about 5 times and am I to understand your meaning is:
1) people with normal taste in music should be encouraged to be exposed to experimental music
&
2) segregated groups (even voluntarily) get separated & then ignored?
Sorry to intrude I just wanted to make sure I understand you.

i think its more along the lines of 'divide and conquer' ... or rather 'divide and reinforce previously successful conquest' ...

KVR can be a f**king Gladiator Camp, and in a pre-production stage can be a real hassle at times. I'm not suggesting anyone is siphoned away from here; that simply will not happen. Also, it's not a private area at all; it's a forum just like this that you register at.
A PUBLIC area, to use the coin of your realm.

but given their sheepish nature there will be a mindset created amongst some (maybe many) people of 'ooh - its an experimental music forum - i cant possibly belong there' and it will become a weirdo ghetto by default ...Sickle wrote:Wrong.xoxos wrote:like so many pieces of garbage.Amberience wrote: collecting people together
