Importing Akai Samples to V-Sampler

I got this Sample CD with Akai files and I can import about 1/2 of the Akai files on the CD to V-Sampler. V-Sampler won't recognize the others???? On top of this: Is it normal for me not to be able to see the directory of Akai files on the CD. I got 2 CD drives and 1 DVD and none of them can read anything on the Akai CD. As you can tell, importing Akai samples to V-Sampler is a bit new to me.
Thanks guys

I think that Vsampler only reads and converts .akp files and there are other types of AKAI files.

Hope that helps. From the FAQ on Maz's site: wrote:1. I can't import sounds from an Akai- or E-MU-CD - what's wrong?
Windows itself can't read those "special" CDs directly, i.e. if you can't read them in Windows Explorer that's just normal.
If you used the "Akai" or "E-MU" button of VSamplers Import rack and it can't access your Akai- or E-MU-CD's please check the VSampler menu at Options --> Import --> Akai. There are two access methods to choose from:
* SPTI: included with Windows 2000 and XP, but requires Administrator rights to use (which is the default user type when you install Windows)
* ASPI: included with Windows 98, but also works on all other Windows versions, just requires an additional file, read below
If both methods fail (VSampler tries both automatically) that means there is no appropriate ASPI driver installed on your system yet. Easy solution: Ahead Software (producers of the popular "Nero Burning Rom") offers a good ASPI driver for Windows NT/2000/XP for free download: WNASPI32.DLL. Copy this DLL file into VSamplers "bin" directory and it should work.
