How about '78'? Or 'Shellac', perhaps?

On the 78 vibe, '33 and a third' has quite a ring to it. Would probably fit the GUI nicely too.

...and didn't that become HMV...?sinkmusic wrote:the first gramophone in france had a picture on it of a dog in front of the record player, with written "la voix de son maître", which could be trnaslated in "his master's voice"... a quite dominating term...

my favourite is the original "waiter" thing,
but I think it should have special editions named: *snap* *crackle* "f**k!", and "three men, standing on their heads smoking bathtubs on a friday during the first world war."

"Aguja" is Spanish for needle and "Aguja sucia" is Spanish for dirty needle.

"Dirty Wheel of Steel"?
Or some reference to unwashed DJs perhaps...can't think of any at the moment. But it ain't difficult to conjure up unwashed DJs - I have known many.
"Dirtbag DJ's Friend"?
Or on the Spanish theme..."El Grimo"?
"Los Cracklos"
"FilthyGroove"? "El Filthigroovio"?
Someoene's gotta be able to come up with a name with a reference to Manuel the waiter in it, surely...?

First off: Waiter isn't a bad name. But if you want me to be able to give a good name for it, better than the names below, then I need to give it a run since I am sight impaired. Seing the GUI, Hearing it is different.
How about:
Tableturner
Swingstyle
Dustbuster
Dirtifier
Needlejunk
Megalofi
Slicknoise
Beatbender
Flashback
Nastynoise
