1. a good tube distortion/saturation plug which can deliver a warm sound. i plan to use it mostly as a send effect so it has to be gentle with the cpu and easy to use as i won't be tweaking it too much.

and a

2. good reverb, which i'll also be using as a send effect.

adivice please.

The JCM900 plugin included in the Guitar Suite has a good reverb in it.

SIR is a pretty cool reverb, once you download a few IRs ... ColdFires Distortion plug is a good 'un too .. Audio Damage do a good free distortion plug also

TLS saturated driver (free) has a great warming preset, and it pretty useful for lots of stuff.
