The pic is awesome!

Vst version: I remember reading a while back that Ross might consider doing this. Rewire seemed to be out of the question.

What I'm waiting for is midi routing. I know Ross wants to do that in the near future. I guess now that version 1.0 is out, we'll see more contraptions, others improvements like recording meta-surface movements. Right now I record midi jams by using energy xt inside mulch.

Yup - I'm using eXT for all sorts of MIDI stuff, too, in Tracktion and out... I don't need AM to support ReWire as long as tracktion does, and there's a remote (but non-zero) chance that Jorgen puts it in eXT. With AM as a VST I'd be happy. :)

I like your sequence of Emoticons as much as my pic. thanx. :)
sdv wrote:WTH??? Are you able to program that yourself or is that a standard MetaSurface setup? It looks just bloody wicked!!
cheers :)
It's really easy to do, just takes patience.
Warning: AudioMulch will not save snapshots, unless they have been given names (that Metasurface setup was toast as soon as I closed AudioMulch)

Wow! :o  :-o :) I'm honoured. Thankyou.

That's the sound of God.

Being able to record movements would be huge.

Ross is dialed in.

I tear up at the mere suggestion. Would be such a beautiful thing.

The helpfile also reveals a few things:

"The Metasurface is currently limited to controlling some parameters (for example it can't be used to switch soundfiles or patterns), this may be changed in the future. Future versions of the Metasurface will support MIDI control. "

True enough, but it does switch soundfiles and patterns in Bidule beautifully.

I could never get into bidule despite all of it's features. For me audiomulch is enough and with all the vsts out there, I cannot get bored. Add to that energy xt has a vst.

Post

audiomulch as a vst would be great. for some reason i'd rather be using mulch inside of eXT than the other way around.

one thing i really appreciate about mulch is its feedback loop ability between plugins - intricate sound machines can be built that way, using midi cc's to change the inner workings. 8)
if xt2 won't allow for feedback loops, i might think about going the ext inside mulch route. :)

Hahahaha - I'm listening to Mulch mulching a recording of me playing guitar in the background, using an mda VST, in ubuntu linux using Wine!

Hahahaha - how very cool!
