Why would you ever buy Nuendo?? It is the most expensive piece of software on the market. All other video editing osftware is not as expensive... I just find it useless to spend 3000 dollars when you could spend 1000 on Final Cut Pro or PremiereChickenman wrote:Cubase is an entry level product, a disabled version of Nuendo... Nuendo, now that's something special (if they could fix all the things wrong with it)
God Bless Cubase

I switched from CubaseVST to logic years ago, and when apple took away my toy I went back to Cubase SX. Now, after two years on Cubase SX, I feel like my hand cut off and one eye shot out when I have to open an old logic project.
The only thing that keeps freaking me out is the enormous loading time with lots of plugins.

i guess in your f**ked-up world, the difference between 'pro' and 'entry level' is simply support for visual media import formats, and a DTS encoder?Chickenman wrote:Cubase is an entry level product, a disabled version of Nuendo... Nuendo, now that's something special
well i guess for the 99.99999% of the rest of us who only use our audio sequencers to, uh, sequence and record audio, entry level must be the same as pro.
what an ass-backwards, stupid understanding of that world that leads to, eh?

With Live the plug scanning time is even worse. Almost 5 mins on my system. The only thing that keeps freaking me out is the enormous loading time with lots of plugins.

I use Cubase LE, and even though it only sounds 80% as good as SX3 it still sounds 20% better that reason.

It's the original and still the best.
Iv'e attempted to move to Logic several times because of the lovely AU:s, but are always coming back to the Q'base.
But can certainly be bettered...
