Can't get to the nomadfactory website.. oh well, the blue plugins bundle sounded IMHO horrible, so did their amp modeller too. I guess I didn't miss too much.
As for an alternative to Smack, I guess the PSP Mixcomp could sound a bit like Smack.
Cheers!

Agreed. I'd say PSP, Voxengo or Kjaerus before Nomad; I'm sure they'll be charging far too much - plus PACE!bmanic wrote:Can't get to the nomadfactory website.. oh well, the blue plugins bundle sounded IMHO horrible, so did their amp modeller too. I guess I didn't miss too much.

Looks like Nomad Factory's web site is up again. However, I was unable to download the EQP4 demo and by the looks of all the new plugins they seem to be "recycling" of old code in new packages.. but who knows. I'll comment on them once I've put them trough their misery.
Extremely sceptical,

You might want to take a look at Voxengo Crunchessor... Nice compressor with some valve-like colouration... Really nice for drums and bass guitars. (though it can also be used without colouration, for standard compression).dimitar wrote:Hi guys! is there a similar compressor in the VST world
I mean the sound.
Thanks!
It even has sidechaining if that's important to you.

May not look as pretty, but it appears to have the same level of control.
Hope that helps.
