the first "phone-tracker"!
http://www.slajerek.demon.pl/mobitracker/
2. SynthTec (for s60-smart-phones only)
the first stand-alone phone-synth
http://www.slajerek.demon.pl/synthtec/
3. syntrax sequencer/tracker/sampler
is very handy,
since with the pc-version,

Does anyone know of a sequencer for Palmtop - starts with a g I think?
Looked kind of impressive, had some cut down MDA and other freeware plugins built in - but I just can't remember the name.

//edit: Can't believe they make you pay for kick, hi-hat, snare etc, individually. Looks good though - any of you tried it out?

By the way, anyone having problems with the online features in Vibe could be down to your internet options not being setup for Java on your phone. Do a search online for your phone and something like 'internet setup' and you should get sorted.

had a further play and this things pretty a good - if basic - MIDI (step-) sequencer for my phone ... handy little tool for using as a sketchpad for ideas / loops when on the move ...
... fairly easy to use (although the - necessary i guess - constant menu access to get at features slows workflow down a little) and had no problems registering before uploading to the site and then downloading MIDI to my laptop ... the MIDI imported fine as seperate tracks into energyXT BTW ...
... little niggles / immediate FRs though ...
> is there no way planned to do a direct MIDI export to the phone memory / memory card ??? (uploading and then downloading to and from the site is no REAL problem ... UNLESS ... the site goes down or becomes an advertising-heavy place to visit)
> a more direct way of deleting a riff (rather than the current select riff > open menu > cut riff method) would be nice ... select riff and use phones 'delete' key would be ideal ???
... i think ill keep an eye on the development of this thing ...

Thank you. Yes I actually did have problems downloading the program, I use a Sony Ericsson Z500- I have to noodle around with the driver for my 3rd party cable so it should be a little while before i can test this.VibeJive wrote:Sure - clickatell.comMr. Tunes wrote:Would you be willing to tell me what company offers this service that sends SMS to people's phones once they punch in their number? My new mobile has a built in swimming pool, and a policeman's index finger in the battery compartment (outperforms alkaline easily)

Thanks for the feedback, great stuff. Yes direct Midi output to phone is possible but not many phones support the Java API at the moment. We'll look into it. And great idea about the delete, we'll look at that as well.pHz wrote: ... little niggles / immediate FRs though ...

If people start to find this app useful we'll put a section on the website with what's being planned to new releases etc.

A "Save as..." option would be nice too, and yeah, I'd definately like to be able to save midi to my phone's memory so i could copy it to my pc.

Ok. So I worked out how to "Save as.." - just rename your song first, then save it!
I'm also finding that it crashes occasionally whilst using the riff editor.
