Baniev, whatever cantrip is, I suppose you are still looking for analogue synthesizers. If you wanna do trance, dance etc. imho digital are much more usable than analogue ones. get some used synths at ebay. start with a virus, continue with a Roland JP8080 etc... And if you are into psytrance, start with a Clavia Nordlead! There's no synth more used in psytrance than a Nordlead!

If it sounds like synth1 because synth1 is supposed to be a clone of Nordlead than i don't think that much that a nordlead is used in psytrance i don't wanna sound like iám right because i don't know but sounds that i heard from synth1 don't sound really like psytrance sounds, is it? Synth1 sounds cheap IMO, i tried a lot of time to do anything with it but it sounds too much like software IMO. to the virus i can just say it rocks.dr. orange wrote:Baniev, whatever cantrip is, I suppose you are still looking for analogue synthesizers. i dont know if its used in psytrance or not, but i've read many a report that novation's v-station sounds pretty much identical to the hardware k-station. (except that the K goes through its own converters first, then into your mixer or audio card before it gets to your computer, and the V (of course) starts off in your computer.Baniev wrote:thanks for your helpfullness guys. But what i'am still wondering is whether it is a synth out that sounds exactly like the hardware version of the synth,

The virus you say rocks is a digital hardware synth, Baniev.Baniev wrote:Synth1 sounds cheap IMO, i tried a lot of time to do anything with it but it sounds too much like software IMO. to the virus i can just say it rocks.
Your "sounds too much like software" just means nothing at all.

One should never underestimate the the power of suggestion with regards to sounds. A gui can make a synth sound different.
It's just how the brain works. The more you know about what you hear, the more you will hear.
We never hear the actual sound. Just a mental interpretation of it, and the brain will use all information available to create that interpretation.
(Lots of people claimed rolands JD800 was different from the other models with the same sound engine, for example)
