NUSofting "Reverbering" 1.2

Reverbering is a free VST effect for Windows, a simple but useful reverb effect,
sporting low CPU usage and two features which you will not easily find in other similar effects:

* Noise: this adds a filtered noise sound to the decay
* Grain: this saturated the audio signal for a vintage feel

Of course you may keep those parameters at zero for a clean reverb effect.

Other features:

* MIDI learn on every parameter, menu by right click.
* Reverbering use the same optimized algorithm featured in Modelonia synth : modelonia.com
* 100% skinnable

two strange (in a Reverb) parameters : Noise and Grain,
try it on drums

I just tried it !

Sounds really good. Soundcaracter is similar to the Princeton reverb. Sounds good on drums and percussion.Makes really good short rooms !!!!!

The only thing I don't understand:
There's more level coming out then coming in.
When I put the mixfader to the left and bypass, there's a great difference in level. I think 6 dB

Wow, it sounds really great on drums. The 'grains' parameter is very useful and adds a nice old school effect. the noise parameter is good too, sounds like bit reduction, but it would be good to be able to filter out some of the high noise artifacts when it is pushed extreme.

Non pop-up version for NUSofting customers, heh? I'll take one of those!

The only way I can get this to work at all in Samplitude and in Reaper is to wrap it with DirectiXer. It just feedsback a stuck buffer sound. But it does sound pretty good. I don't like the noise sound at all, but I do very little electronic music. Perhaps it's more useful in that context. Predelay would be nice.

EDIT: It suddenly works as a VST in Reaper, but the nag screen crashes Reaper if You try to load Reverbering while playing.

pard me for being honest, but this plugin is ugly, and this screen that appears, well, put it over your door

some remarks on "Reverbering"

1) "Reverbering" was made since I needed a simple reverb plugin with saturation included
and with low CPU usage, also some users asked me for a solo version of the reverb I put in Modelonia,
so I didn't mean to make a master piece just a usefull little plugin.
Actually I have some other ideas for a reverb plugin so this one may evolve in something else.

2) the GUI, if you don't like my chaotic attractor pic just use any bitmap you like,
it's fully skinnable you know, you can also use knobs if you like,
this is a slider in skin.xml

a knob with no frames could be

Anyway nBeat is generously making a new skin available (screenshot above), you'll get the link soon.

3) the pop-up, yes technically it's not freeware but adware which costs you one click each time you load it.
As written each NUSofting Dash Signature user would get a totally free version, if he or she asks.

4) new build available in a few minutes, I reduced the boost effect reported (thanks) and also filtered the Noise as suggested,
BTW the Noise parameter was just an experiment you may safely keep it at zero and that also saves some CPU.
Do you know that it got MIDI learn?, just right click on control.
